We Judge a Show by its Pilot

Our first epic series! Even though this was one of Anna's favorite shows first, it eventually became one of Jeff's favorites. On today's episode, we're traveling to the land of Westeros! Along with talking about the pilot, discuss what drew us to this show, why it took Jeff so long to finally give the show a chance, some of our favorite episodes and moments, and who our favorite House is. Welcome to Friends & Family Month! For the month of July we'll be judging the pilot of shows centered around, you guessed it, families and friends! We're kicking off July with a classic, one of Anna's favorite childhood shows, Little House on the Prairie. Come find out what Anna remembers about watching this show in the 70s, Jeff will give his opinion on a first time watch, and they'll both decide where they'd want to live if they were alive in the late 19th century. 

We're jumping across the pond to the streets of London right to 221B Baker Street. We're solving mysteries with the infamous detective, Sherlock Holmes, and his loyal companion, Dr. John Watson. On today's episode we discuss why we never watched this show, if we would make a good detective, and why we consider this to be a comfort show. 

Put on your bell bottoms and turn up the rock n roll because we're traveling back to 1968 and entering the life of Kevin Arnold as he navigates through his first day of junior high. This is one of Jeff's all-time favorite shows and it's one of the only shows that can make him laugh and cry in one episode. 

One of the most watched streaming series of 2020. Winner of 9 Emmy's in 2020, one of the most wins in a single award season. Schitt's Creek is not only one of the most popular shows of the last 10 years but it's also one of our favorite shows. We're going from mansion to motel, riches to rags, but as long we have love and support from our loved ones then we are the richest of all! 

We're traveling to Stars Hollow where everyone is really quirky and also really bad at their jobs. On today's episode, Jeff will be digging deep trying to figure out why this is one of Anna's all-time favorite shows and also one of her go-to comfort shows. 

We should rename this episode "Jeff Asks Anna A Bunch of Legal Questions". We're back in New York but this time we're in the world of attorneys. On today's episode, we're judging the pilot of one of the most watched streaming series of 2023. Some might say that's because of a certain Duchess that is featured on the show. Find out what we think of this beloved legal dramedy.
